The event which saw young people on the pitch training in NBA style was a real success.

The NBA dream

A unique event should have been and in fact it was, the one that took place last weekend at the Palasampietro in Casnate with Bernate. In fact, the Como stadium hosted the NBA Basketball School which stopped in our province with its stars and stripes training sessions. A huge success for the event hosted by Pol. Comense and which was sold out with more than 70 male and female athletes, not only from Como, who were able to participate in three hours of NBA-style training, held by coaches Paulo Rivesformer Brazilian international and former Minnesota player, now youth coach of Bayern Munich. There were two training sessions of 90′ each and divided into two categories: ALL-STAR for those born between 2009 – 2012 and followed by ROOKIEs born between 2013 and 2017. All the young participants were able to learn and try the high-performance training techniques intensity of American youth.

The hope is that this mentality and attitude is not just limited to the event but it can also be replicated during seasonal training.” During the day, the Casnate arena also hosted two other special events: in the morning the Fisdir championship match between Noi Tutti Special People Como and Starlight Valmadrera while in the evening the gathering of the champions of the Italian women’s National Over 45 team in preparation for the World Cup in category.
