Siegerland Judo Clubs Dominate South Westphalia District Championships 01/25/2024 | Youth Qualify for Kamen

(wS/jc) Wilnsdorf 01/25/2024 | The sporting start of the year for the Siegerland judo clubs is traditionally the championships for the South Westphalia district in Halver. For the youth U11 and U15, in addition to titles, certificates and medals, it is also about qualifying for the district championships in Kamen. The top three in each weight class are eligible to start there. At the end of the day, the representatives of the local clubs were able to celebrate 19 first places, which they won against competition from the Sauerland, the Märkischer Kreis and the city of Hagen. The JC Gernsdorf won seven titles, the JF Siegen Lindenberg were at the top of the podium in six weight classes, four titles went to the JV Siegerland and the TV from Freudenberg was happy about two district championship titles.

JC Gernsdorf:
U11: Gernsdorf won four tournaments in this age group. Luca Krumm had a strong weight class and had to get four wins and be at the top of the podium. Johanna Grund, Amalie Wolf and Anni Schlemper were also in first place with two wins each. Tim Stahl (3 wins) and Luca Oberowski (2 wins) started in the U11 for the first time and took second place. U15: Three district championship titles went to the JCG in the U15 community in Wilnsdorf. Jule Krämer, Lukas Maier, and Leon Westphal each won two fights and did not have to reach their performance limits. Paula Schmidt took second place with a balanced balance. JF Siegen Lindenberg:

U11: The Lindenberg team has been producing consistently good results for years. And this time too there were successes. This was particularly successful with Maxim Heier, who had three early goals

The U11 district champions were Nermin Kolefe (without a fight), Evelyn Moritz with two wins and Jan Cernohorsky, who defeated four opponents early and thus made an exclamation mark. Lian ElMoussaoui became runner-up. In a strong weight class he only had to admit defeat in the final. Emely Becker, Marlene Amort and Jonas Schlaak were also on the podium in third place.

U15 The JVS was also able to win a title in this age group with Enes Murati. Runners-up were Ben Lueb, Mikail Karaefe, who only lost one of four fights, as well as Nils Schlaak and Lias Amort.

TV Freudenberg:
U11: Three Freudenberger judokas took part here. In the first year in the U11, Max Haut and Willis Berger fought. Max qualified with third place and Willis came fifth in his class. Leo Stahlschmit also progressed with third place.

U15: Frederik Wesseling particularly impressed here with a good performance, three wins and a first place. In the decisive fight he defeated his club colleague Theo Langenbach, who came second. Paula Nassauer secured first place after winning an encounter. Tilda Serapinas with victory and defeat took second place and Charlotte Wrischnig came third.
