Badminton in Piedrabuena

This Sunday, January 21, the Piedrabuena City Council in collaboration with the. Ciudad Real Provincial Council and the JCCM Department of Education, Culture and Sports organized a new badminton school day. In this case, the first test of the western area of ​​Ciudad Real.

A sporting challenge that included the participation of 91 boys and girls and 200 games that made the audience vibrate from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The participating towns were Puertollano (Colegio Salesianos San Juan Bosco), Fernán Caballero, El Torno, Alcoba de los Montes, Porzuna, El Robledo and Piedrabuena.

The event was attended by María Elena Delgado Avileo, councilor for education and sports, who once again showed her commitment and the work being done in Piedrabuena with badminton, being the town that contributed the largest number of players accompanied by good results. She herself stressed that “sport is a commitment of the municipal corporation in the town, being essential to improve the health and well-being of athletes.”

After numerous matches full of emotion, the podiums were very distributed, highlighting Piedrabuena, Porzuna and El Robledo as the towns that obtained the best results.
