Rome’s 5D Youth Center Expands Activities with Sports, Arts and Community Programs

Published: February 27, 2026

New Initiatives Focus on Youth Development

The 5D Youth Aggregation Center of Caritas in Rome is bolstering its offerings in March with a diverse range of activities designed for local boys and girls. The expanded calendar combines sports, artistic expression, and community building, with a core focus on promoting participation, inclusion, and personal growth.

Grassroots Sports for All

A significant sports initiative is underway, created in collaboration with the Sportinsieme Roma sports association. Activities will include badminton, shuttlecock, pickleball, Frisbee, motor courses, outdoor games with kites, intergenerational activities like bowls, street basketball, five-a-side football, and volleyball.

The center views sport as an opportunity for connection and an educational tool, providing an accessible space to experiment with collaboration, respect for rules, and team spirit.

Hip Hop Journey with Noemi D’Orazio

A Hip Hop workshop led by Noemi D’Orazio will begin on Wednesday, March 4th, at 4:30 PM. Hip hop culture, originating in the Bronx, New York, in the early 1970s, emerged as a youth response to poverty and marginalization.

It’s an artistic and social movement built on four key elements: rap, breaking, writing, and DJing. At CAG 5D, rap has already been a focus, and this journey continues through dance and creative expression, promoting values such as peace, unity, and creativity.

Street Poetry Workshop with Er Pinto

The Street Poetry workshop, led by artist Er Pinto, kicks off on March 10th. Following a previous project where Pinto painted one of his poems on the center’s wall, this workshop will focus on finding authentic words, sharing thoughts, and creating texts through original lettering.

The aim is to transform the wall into a space for expression and identity. More information about Er Pinto’s work can be found at www.erpinto.it.
