The second youth regional ranking of the year took place in Riedlingen. A sensational 124 participants from 21 clubs took part. The catchment area extended to Heidenheim, Ulm and Böblingen. Most of the young people came from SV Böblingen and SF Dornstadt. Due to the high number of participants, the start of the tournament was brought forward to 9:30 a.m. and the games were shortened to two winning sets of up to 15 points. It is pleasing that all age groups were able to play.

Five young people from BV Riedlingen took part. The most successful Riedlinger was Alwin Birk, who despite having little playing experience was able to achieve 6th place out of 22 participants in his U15 age group. Except for his first game, which he clearly won 15:2 and 15:2, he had to show his strong nerves in the other four games and play a three-set game or go into overtime. Friedrich Ott also started with the boys U15. He was able to win 3 of his 5 games and was only narrowly defeated in the three sets with 14:16, 15:12 and 8:15 in the last game. This placed him in 11th place. Simon Hammer and Jonas Eberl competed one age group higher in U17. Simon won two of his games and showed strong nerves by winning the extra sets. Jonas Eberl had to go to the qualifying round due to his poor seeding. He improved over the course of the tournament and won his last game in three sets. Simon came 12th and Jonas 21st. The only woman from Riedlingen, Emma Krause, started in the U15 age group. She got her nerves under control during the tournament and won her last game in three sets. She came eleventh.
