VALENCIA (VP). The Riba-roja de Túria City Council has granted a total of 124.700 euros between entities and clubs related to the promotion of sports practice, the leisure sector, recreation and recreational activities. The call for this initiative is focused, mainly, on projects related to sports initiation, the promotion of practice and, Finally, the sports competition.
The amounts granted to the various beneficiaries range between 345 and the 24.153 euros, based on the requirements met that had been included in the regulatory bases after carrying out a scale by the evaluation commission made up of municipal technical staff through a system of competitive competition between the clubs and the various sports entities in the town.
The entities, clubs and associations of Riba-roja de Túria are linked to very diverse sports modalities and practices such as judo, handball, basketball, galotxa, triathlon, football, cycle tourism, swimming, gymnastics rhythmic, futsal, dance, table tennis, chess, dancing, soccer, pigeon farming, free flight, or triathlon, among many other sports.
The regulatory bases for these aids promoted by the Riba-roja de Túria City Council establish the objective criteria for the granting of aid and financial subsidies, such as the case of grassroots sports or sports schools whose objective is aimed at promoting knowledge of the sport of a specialty, from the lower categories to the children’s category, both inclusive.
The scale of aid also takes into account that the club or competing sports entity is made up of athletes registered in Riba-roja de Túria, from 4 years of age to 18 years of age, with the granting of up to 2 points. for each age range of athletes who are part of the clubs and local entities during the season that is the subject of the subsidy.
The promotion of parity between the sexes in the entity is another of the criteria that is taken into consideration when granting subsidies and financial aid, with percentages that range between 2 and 8 points depending on each interval. The number of athletes that make up the club or entity is another element that is valued, such as being federated and registered in Riba-roja de Túria, participating as a member of the club in official competitions in Jocs Esportius or competitions organized by the Mancomunitat.
The regulatory bases also take into account the expenses borne by the various entities during the 2023/2024 sports season, such as the payment of tokens, payment of the mutual insurance or insurance, payment of the fee to the Federation, payment to the Federation for registration in the official championships that the national federation or one of the regional federations has the power to organize, or as payment for arbitration.
The level of sports competition at the national, regional and provincial level, the qualified and accredited sports technicians who are part of the entity in training, teaching or preparation functions for the team or group, the participation of volunteers or the sports programs that include an offer for all types of athletes, the organizational structure, the methodology used or the age of the club complete other criteria that are assessed when granting aid.
The mayor of Riba-roja de Túria, Robert Ragahas highlighted “the effort, dedication and work carried out by all clubs and local entities during all seasons in their passion to promote and disseminate sports practice among youth, especially as a source of emotional well-being and physical structure, in addition to being an essential tool of social structuring and socialization”.
