Zibanejad’s Record Night Powers Rangers to Much-Needed Win

Zibanejad’s Historic Night

With a man advantage at 5:38 of the second period, Zibanejad tallied his 117th career power-play goal, moving past Camille Henry and Chris Kreider (both with 116). His first-period goal at 7:26 gave the Rangers the lead for good, and he completed his scoring at 8:25 of the second, matching Bill Cook with nine career hat tricks for the Rangers.

“It’s always special to score a hat trick, but to do it in a game like this, where we really needed the two points, makes it even more rewarding,” said Zibanejad.
