Rajasthan: Two friends who went to take selfie died

Rajasthan: A tragic incident in Shahpura of Bhilwara district of Rajasthan. Here, two national level table tennis players lost their lives while taking selfies. Both friends had gone for a walk after table tennis practice in school. He was to play the national competition in January. While trying to take a selfie, two friends Shlok Jagetia and Rudra Pratap Singh drowned in the water filled mine. Their friend Faheem Khan saw both of them drowning and raised an alarm and reached outside the RTO office, where he informed people about the incident. A 15-year-old class 9 student studying in a school located in Main Shahpura of the district and a class 9 student in another school are excellent table tennis players.

He has recently been selected at the national level, for which he is currently preparing. Shlok and Rudra were the only sons of their family and both have an elder sister. Rudra’s father Dharmendra Singh Sodha is a government teacher. The students started taking selfies with mobile phones on the river bank and suddenly fell into the pond. Due to which both the students died due to drowning. As soon as the information was received, Shahpura District Collector Rajendra Singh Shekhawat and Additional Superintendent of Police Rajesh Arya reached the spot and also called the rescue team. After which the bodies of both the children were taken out of the pond and after post-mortem in Shahpura District Hospital, the bodies were handed over to the relatives.

The last rites of both the children were performed in a sad atmosphere. Both the children were taken to Shahpura District Hospital, where they were declared dead. Shlok’s father Umesh Jagetia could not believe it at all after hearing the news of his son’s death. He was repeatedly asking the doctors to take his son to Bhilwara and get him good treatment, but the doctors explained to him that his son had died.
