Macherio. A brutal attack which occurred late yesterday afternoon in Macherio, near the external car park of a supermarket, led to thearrest of two people et al arrest of a third party by the judicial police. The victim, a 34-year-old man known to law enforcement, reported serious injuries and is currently hospitalized with a reserved prognosis at the San Gerardo hospital in Monza.
The aggression
According to what was reconstructed by the Carabinieri of the Biassono station, the episode arose from previous disagreements between the victim and the attackers. The man was surrounded and hit with kicks and punches, up to be hit violently on the head with a baseball bat.
The intervention of the 118 staff was immediate, who rescued the victim on the spot and transported him to the San Gerardo hospital in Monza. Initially the man’s condition seemed less serious, but clinical investigations revealed skull fractures which required hospitalization in intensive care. At the moment, the victim is not in danger of life, but remains in critical condition.
The investigation and arrests
The Carabinieri, who intervened promptly, stopped two alleged attackers still at the scene of the crime: a 53-year-old man, already known to the police, and an 18-year-old, both residents of Macherio.
Subsequently, thanks to intense investigative activity, the military managed to track down a third alleged perpetrator, a 20 years old also from Macherio, identified as the person who physically used the baseball bat. The young man was placed under judicial police custody.
Measures of the Judicial Authority
At the end of the formalities, the 53-year-old and the 20-year-old were transferred to the Monza prison, while the 18-year-old was subjected to house arrest in his home.
Investigations underway
Investigators are continuing their investigations to identify any other participants in the attack and completely reconstruct the dynamics of the events.
