Tottenham head coach Angelos Postecoglou commented on the defeat in the London derby from Chelsea (0:2) in the postponed match of the 26th round of the Premier League.

“We didn’t play well enough and I have to take responsibility for that. I am a coach, and it is I who put the players on the field, the responsibility lies with me. Since we showed the same performance as in the first half, it means that my message during the break did not reach the team.

I feel like we’ve lost a little bit of faith in our football, confidence in it, and I have to change that. It’s not about missing the first goal, it’s about our approach to the game and we were far from the right level. It’s my fault.

We have been a little lost for some time now and must overcome this on our path of growth. We have to go out on the field and demonstrate a decent game, sometimes we have to force it out. We weren’t good today.

Chances for top 4? I don’t know how to answer such questions. Today we were bad, what’s the point of thinking about anything else? My responsibility is to make sure we play better next time,” Postecoglou said.
