Badminton Xàtiva Claims Multiple Medals at National Tournaments

Dominant Performance Across Two Tournaments

The Club Bádminton Xàtiva demonstrated its strength on the national stage, securing a total of six medals at tournaments held in Valladolid and Murcia last weekend. The club’s athletes showcased impressive skill and determination across two competitions.

Arnau Ballester Shines at the Máster Sub-15 and Sub-19

Arnau Ballester competed in the Máster Sub-15 and Sub-19 tournament in Tordesillas, Valladolid, which drew 226 athletes from both age groups. Ballester initially secured a victory against Pablo Córdoba with a hard-fought match, winning 22-24, 21-18, and 21-19 after nearly 40 minutes of play.

Despite a strong effort against the tournament’s top seed, Demetrio Pinto, Ballester was unable to secure a win. He finished second in his group but didn’t advance to the final stage of the tournament.

Ballester then partnered with Nahia Navarro (CB Pamplona) in the doubles mixto competition. The pair won both of their group matches, securing first place and a spot in the elimination round on March 1st.

Success in the Máster Territorial Sub-11, Sub-15, Sub-19 and Senior

In the Máster Territorial Sub-11, Sub-15, Sub-19 and Senior tournament held in Las Torres de Cotillas, Murcia, five athletes from the club competed. The team returned with five medals after a long day of competition.

Feliu Terol achieved gold in the individual masculina category, defeating Pablo Gámez 21-12 and 21-9 in the final.

Martina Molina and Hanting Jiang (CB Drop València) won gold in doubles femenino, defeating Irene Lozano and Candela Martínez 21-9 and 21-18 in the final.

Ximo and Martina secured a bronze medal in doubles mixto. Meshack and Irene won silver in doubles mixto.

Feliu Terol and Diego Gázquez also claimed a bronze medal in doubles masculino.

Looking Ahead: Jocs Esportius de la Comunitat Valenciana

The Bádminton Xàtiva will participate in the third round of the Jocs Esportius de la Comunitat Valenciana in the infantil category this weekend in El Campello. Ten athletes from the club will compete against 87 players from across the region.
