National judoka Juan Miguel Postigos added one more victory to his career, by winning the silver medal at the Rio 2024 Senior Pan American and Oceania Championships, which took place in Brazil.

Juan Manuel Postigos, who is a member of the Paris 2024 Program of the Peruvian Sports Institute (IPD), took the podium in the -66kg category.

The ‘Tigre’ fought in the final against the Brazilian William Lima, number 9 in the world ranking in his category, against whom he fell in a close fight.

Postigos has just participated in the last three Olympic Games (London 2012, Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020) and seeks to add the points to qualify for its fourth consecutive event, in Paris 2024.
