Chen Dejie, the general manager of the school, pointed out that because the school consumes a lot of electricity, solar panels were installed on the roofs of the auditorium and old classrooms to save power. They are currently waiting for the arrival of TNB to replace the electricity meters before they can be officially used.
He said that the school has a total of 4 electricity meters and has completed the first phase. One of the electricity meters with the largest power consumption has been installed with a solar system to generate electricity. This is expected to increase the monthly cost of the electricity meter to more than 20,000 ringgit. Electricity bills are cut in half.
He pointed out that the school will gradually plan to install solar panels in other places, including dormitories, to reduce electricity bills.
