Club América Assistant Paulo Victor Named Brazil U-20 & U-23 Head Coach

Club América is set to lose a key member of its coaching staff as Paulo Victor Rodrigues Gomes has been officially appointed as the head coach of Brazil’s youth national teams. The move, confirmed by the Brazilian Football Confederation, will see Victor lead the Under-20 and Pre-Olympic teams with a long-term vision focused on the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

Coach Paulo Victor He is the modern coach of the Brazilian Men’s Under-20 Team and the Brazilian Pre-Olympic Team. Successful Stint at Club América

Victor joined Club América in 2023 and played a crucial role in the team’s recent successes, including three Mexican Championship titles (2023/24 Apertura and Clausura Tournaments, 2024/25 Apertura) and the 2024 Campeones Cup. He was also influential in player negotiations, leveraging his existing relationships with players like Raphael Veiga and Vinicius Lima.

Known as PV, he has worked in Mexican soccer since 2023, where he was the André Jardine’s assistant coach at Club América.
