Paris 2024 Bronze Medallist Emmanouil Karalis Wins Men’s Pole Vault at Diamond League in Lausanne
Emmanouil Karalis, the Paris 2024 bronze medallist, secured victory in the men’s pole vault at the 2025 Diamond League meeting in Lausanne on Tuesday (19 August). The 23-year-old Greek athlete started the season with a new PB of 5.82m in April and has since improved to clear 5.92m. His progression reflects the mentality of a young athlete eager to improve and reach new heights.
The Diamond League is one of the premier athletics competitions, featuring the world’s best athletes in various track and field disciplines. The Lausanne meeting is part of the 2025 season, which includes 14 stops around the world. Athletes compete for points to qualify for the season-ending world championships.
The next Diamond League meeting will take place in Eugene, Oregon, on Friday (23 August). The series will conclude in Zürich, Switzerland, on Thursday (29 August).
