EDITORIAL BOARD – Paolo Morbiato cyclist from Veneto but now adopted by the island of La Maddalena, where he has managed the Med’oro resort for more than 7 years, he is a new protagonist in the island’s regional cycling, bearer of the CC Lactic Acid friend’s pride as well vice president Davide Achena after the excellent performances at the beginning of the season he was awarded the Trophy “Cycling safety” valid for the Regional amateur road category titles, held on Sunday 28 April in Oristano organized by the local Amateur Sports Group chaired by Carlo Spanu.
Over one hundred runners started around 9.30 from viale Repubblica and headed towards Tramatza, Milis, Narbolia, Seneghe and Bonarcadoand then descend towards Milis, San Vero Milis, Solarussa, Siamaggiore and Oristano againfor a total of approximately 80 kilometres.
After the climb that led to Bonarcado a leading group of 15 runners was formed which gradually thinned out as the kilometers passed until the 6 strongest runners remained in the lead. Mura (FancelloCicli), spicy (SestuBike), Mascia (S.c Monteponi), Pisan (CCAntonio Manca), Calabrese (4MoriBike) e Paolo Morbiato (CCAL), who with a push towards the last km of the race took advantage of his rivals by reaching the finish line alone with his arms raised, winning not only the race but also the Sardinian Champion Title of Master 1 category.
