Panama West Crowned National Youth Baseball Champions

Panama West was crowned champion of the 57th National Championship Youth Baseball by defeating Chiriqui by 8 runs to 7, completing a four-game sweep of the final series.

The championship series concluded at the Kenny Serracín stadium in David, following the award ceremony recognizing the contest’s outstanding players.

Early Lead and Chiriqui Response

The ‘Cowboys’ of the West took an early lead, scoring two runs in the second inning. The first run came on a sacrifice fly from Edward Delgado and the second on a hit by Osvaldo Cuevas.

Chiriqui quickly responded in the second inning when Edwin Gomez scored.

Back-and-Forth Battle

The game continued as a back-and-forth affair. Chiriqui took the lead in the third inning with runs from Andrew Rivas and Joans Montenegro. Panama West regained the advantage in the fourth inning thanks to Osvaldo Cuevas.
