Enthusiasm and desire to have fun at the PalaBakery where the 3-on-3 student basketball events took place, a “restricted” version of traditional basketball which is enjoying enormous success and which has also won a place in the Olympics. Shorter games to be played in half court with just one basket, six minutes of play and a maximum of 14 seconds per action.
The first and second level secondary schools competed for the provincial title, with boys and girls who put on a show in an entire morning organized by the provincial body for sport at school, represented by Carlotta Malchiodi, in collaboration with the Italian Basketball Federation and Bakery Piacenza.
Among the Cadets the success went to Fiorenzuolawho won every game he left behind Calvinbeaten only in the direct clash, e Podenzano. Result reversed in the Cadette category, with the gold going to an unbeatable team Calvin good at closing in front of Fiorenzuola e Borgonovo. Double of the Podenzano (males and females) among the Boys, with Borgonovo second.
Among the older ones, there was an enormous balance among the students, with three teams finishing on equal points. Resist, Six Marconi e Gioia they finished the group shoulder to shoulder, with 7 points each. Success was therefore awarded based on basket difference, with Marconi in front of everyone, Gioia behind and Respighi on the third step of the podium. Six Marconi who did an encore among the Juniors in front of Resist e Saint Benedict.
Now the spotlight is on athletics: the provincial finals are scheduled for Wednesday 17th and Thursday 18th at Dordoni.
