Pakur’s Future Yoga Champions: 15 Students Selected as Yoga Mitras
Yoga for Health: A Step Towards District-wide Awareness
Pakur, India – In a significant step towards promoting health and wellness in Pakur, 15 students from Maheshpur, Durgapur, and Dhanushpuja schools were selected as Yoga Mitras. The event, organized by the AYUSH department under the Ayurveda program and Project Jagriti, was successfully held at Tribal Girls Hostel in Maheshpur and other schools.
Selected Yoga Mitras: Agents of Change
The selected students, representing six schools, were equipped with T-shirts, caps, badges, identity cards, and yoga books to empower them as Yoga Mitras. They will now lead yoga sessions in their schools and communities, carrying forward the mission of health awareness.

Regular Yoga Sessions and Health Camps Boost Interest
Dr. Sujit Kumar Chauhan, District Program Manager, stated that regular yoga sessions and AYUSH health camps in schools have sparked significant interest in health among children. Other officials present included Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Dr. Abu Talib Shaikh, Dr. Kulesh Kumar, yoga instructors Mahadev Ghosh and Manju Devi, and school teachers.
