Mayweather vs. Pacquiao Rematch Set for September in Las Vegas

Boxing fans are in for a treat as Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao have agreed to a professional rematch, scheduled for Saturday, September 19th, at the Sphere in Las Vegas. The fight will be streamed globally on Netflix.

A Decade After the ‘Fight of the Century’

The announcement comes eleven years after their first encounter in 2015, billed as the Fight of the Century. Mayweather emerged victorious in that bout, winning by unanimous decision in Las Vegas.

Both Fighters Return to the Ring

Mayweather, 48, had previously announced his intention to come out of retirement following a 2026 exhibition against Mike Tyson and a multifight partnership with CSI Sports/Fight Sports. Pacquiao, 47, likewise came out of retirement last July, battling Mario Barrios to a majority draw.

Mayweather’s Recent Activity

Mayweather retired from professional prize fighting in 2017 with an undefeated 50-0 record. Since then, he has participated in a series of exhibition bouts.

Pacquiao’s Return to Competition

Pacquiao retired from the sport to focus on his political career in 2021, but returned to the ring last year. He most recently faced former WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios in July 2025, with Barrios retaining his title after a draw.

“Floyd and I gave the world what remains the biggest fight in boxing history,” Pacquiao said. “The fans have waited long enough. They deserve this rematch.”
