Although he has still not crossed paths with Zaccharie Risacher in the NBA, Draymond Green has nevertheless not escaped his recent viral observation. Incredulous, he therefore made sure to react to it with a warning addressed to the young French hopeful.
It’s not easy to find your bearings quickly NBA. Even less as a 1st pick in the Draft. Just ask Victor Wembanyama, who suffered the same problem last year. That said, based on his most recent appearance on the courts of the league, Zaccharie Risacher appears to be on the right track in this regard. The latter is starting to assert himself in the Hawks’ game… if not yet doing so in his speeches.

Despite this label of 1st choice in the Draft which now sticks to him, Risacher has not gotten a big head at all. On the contrary, he realizes the enormous gap that separates him from the best players on the circuit. Including on the physical level, which recently led him to calling yourself a “normal guy” in a comparison with France. An outing that Draymond Green literally lambasted in his podcast:
Draymond Green : Put yourself in the shoes of the Atlanta Hawks and imagine how alarming that statement might sound. The guy already thinks he’s just a normal guy even though he’s the 1st pick in the last Draft! After five matches, he’s already saying he’s just another guy. It’s alarming! Red alert! Code red! Clearly shocked by the comments made by the international tricolor, Draymond Green invites him to quickly correct them and change his mind:
Draymond Green : Even if that’s what you really think, bro, it’s better to lie. Because if there’s one thing this outing shows about you, it’s that you don’t have the confidence and that you don’t have the right attitude.
To be completely honest with you, being a normal guy as a 1st pick in the Draft is not acceptable. You can’t be normal. No one is going to let you just be normal. So boy, you better figure out how to stand out from the crowd and do it fast. (…) If someone called me normal, I would take it so badly!
The message is therefore clear from the Warriors barker: Risacher must change his speech and gain more confidence in himself, otherwise he will be stepped on in the NBA. Dray also took the opportunity to send a message to those who criticize the athletic level of the league:
Draymond Green : For all the haters spewing their hate on Twitter, now you see how different the NBA is. So shut up.
If he simply seemed to describe his physique as average by NBA standards, Zaccharie Risacher thus attracted the wrath of Draymond Green. The latter considers it inconceivable to see a 1st Draft choice say such words.
