Sports club Flevostar Dronten has received the Unique Sports Certificate. This certificate is given to associations that are committed to making sports accessible to people with disabilities.
Flevostar wants to break the boundary between people with and without disabilities when participating in recreational sports. The association offers indoor football, tennis, rhythmic gymnastics, darts, wheelchair basketball and badminton.
Unique Sports is a program of the Disabled Sports Fund and 330 municipalities in collaboration with NOC*NSF, the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport and various sponsors.
‘Association meets all criteria’
Flevostar Dronten has met all criteria, such as offering adapted sports options, ensuring an inclusive sports environment and investing in certified trainers to guide the athletes. With the certificate, Flevostar wants to inspire more people to take up sports, regardless of physical limitations.
