Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy, are hosting the world’s top winter athletes as the United States competes in the 2026 Winter Olympics, running from February 6th to February 22nd. The U.S. Team, comprised of 232 athletes (117 men and 115 women), is participating in 16 sports.

Opening Ceremony Highlight
In a nod to future Olympic hosts, the United States entered the stadium before France (hosting the 2030 Winter Olympics) and Italy (the host nation) during the parade of nations at the opening ceremony. This is the country’s 25th appearance at the Olympic Winter Games.
