Volunteers Honor Late Child, Donate to Santobono-Pausilipon Hospital
Volunteers Make generous Donation
In a heartwarming gesture, volunteers from the social promotion association Oltre l’Orizzonte donated €3450.42 to the pediatric neurosurgery department of the Santobono-Pausilipon Foundation. The ceremony, held on January 2, also saw the unveiling of a plaque in memory of Francesco Pio Angelico, a brave child who had been treated at the hospital.
“Our desire was to keep the memory of Francesco Pio alive by transforming his name into a gesture of love for other children.” declared Valeria Feola, vice president of Oltre l’Orizzonte, adding, “Emotion, satisfaction and a lot of gratitude are the predominant feelings at this moment.”

Befana Brings Cheer to Pediatric Patients
Earlier that day, the Befana (Italy’s version of Santa Claus) paid a special visit to pediatric patients, distributing socks, sweets, and toys throughout the hospital. This joyful surprise added a touch of magic to the otherwise somber environment.
Oltre l’Orizzonte: A Beacon of Hope
Oltre l’Orizzonte, founded in September 2025, is a social promotion association dedicated to supporting minors and限 elderly, as well as promoting solidarity projects. Their activities mainly focus on Campania, Lazio, and Lombardy.
Oltre l’Orizzonte notably initiated a new project with Santobono last year, building on their ongoing collaboration with La Brigata Solidale. The association welcomes volunteers eager to lend a helping hand.
