No. 1 Georgia Hands Ole Miss Women’s Tennis First SEC Loss

ATHENS, Ga. – The No. 32 Ole Miss Women’s Tennis team fell, 4-0, against No. 1 Georgia on Thursday night at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.

Rebels Struggle Against Top-Ranked Bulldogs

Ole Miss (6-2, 1-1 SEC) could not preserve up with Georgia (7-1, 2-0 SEC) as the Bulldogs came out and secured the doubles point to start the match.

Singles Competition Sees Promising Starts, Unfinished Matches

In singles, Georgia continued its momentum, winning three straight courts to clinch the match. Despite the overall result, the Rebels showed resilience on courts two and four.

Alice Soulié won her first set against No. 41 Deniz Dilek, 6-1, and Riley Crowder won her first set against No. 91 Patricija Paukstyte, 6-3.
