Christian Braun’s defensive assignment on Kevin Durant proved effective, limiting the Rockets star to just 11 points on 5-of-8 shooting – his fewest field goal attempts of the season. Adelman noted Braun’s impact, saying:

His explosiveness has not yet fully returned, but I think we saw this evening the speed and physical condition that made his reputation. He ran faster than everyone on the field, his own teammates included. This stretches the opposing defense, which frees up 3-point shots in the corners.
