Novak Djokovic continues with the renewal of his team after the departures of his agents Edoardo Artaldi and Elena Cappellaro and his physiotherapist Ulises Badio, his breakup with Goran Ivanisevic and the recent goodbye with his physical trainer Marco Panichi, whom ‘Nole’ has already found quickly substitute.

According to Serbian journalist Sasa Ozmo, Djokovic will replace Panichi with an old acquaintance: the Austrian Gebhard Phil-Gritsch, 67, who was already part of the ‘Nole’ team as a physical trainer between 2009 and 2019 and who previously He was the coach of another tennis legend like the Austrian Thomas Muster, former world number one and winner of Roland Garros in 1995.

In this way, Djokovic continues to complete the puzzle of renewing his team after recent departures, although it remains to be seen who will be the Serbian’s next coach, since since his breakup with Ivanisevic Djokovic has trained under the orders of his compatriot Nenad Zimonjic, who accompanied him at the 1,000 Monte Carlo Masters, but without being officially confirmed as his coach.

With the arrival of Gebhard Phil-Gritsch, the Austrian joins Djokovic’s staff in which the Spanish Carlos Gómez Herrera appears as Team Manager, while Milan Amanovic and Claudio Zimaglia serve as physiotherapists. A renewal in which Djokovic draws on the past to look with optimism and more experience if possible to the future.
