Orono guard Nolan Groves, recently reopened his recruitment, announced on Saturday night that he will play college basketball for Texas Tech.
“I like what’s going on over at Tech,” Groves said last week. Texas Tech had a phenomenal team last year. They have lots of studs returning and coming in out of the transfer portal.
Previous Commitment and Recent Offers
Groves had initially committed to Yale as a junior but reopened his recruitment in recent weeks. He received offers from Texas Tech, the Gophers, and Wisconsin last Monday.
He had planned to take an unofficial visit to the Gophers soon, but Texas Tech’s coach sealed the deal before that visit could take place.
