NHL News: Maple Leafs Recall Pezzetta, Team Updates Across the League
Toronto Maple Leafs
The Toronto Maple Leafs have recalled forward Michael Pezzetta from the American Hockey League’s (AHL) Toronto Marlies, the team announced Thursday.
Pezzetta, who turns 28 on Friday, signed a two-year contract with the Maple Leafs last summer after spending his entire career with the Canadiens organization. He was placed on waivers just before the season started and cleared, allowing him to play with the Marlies.

Pezzetta is expected to make his Maple Leafs debut on Thursday against the Anaheim Ducks, skating on the fourth line with Jacob Quillan and Calle Jarnkrok during the morning skate.
Originally drafted 160th overall in 2016 by the Montreal Canadiens, Pezzetta has 15 goals and 38 points in 200 career NHL games, all with the Canadiens.
