Bogotá to Host “Yoga and Run” Race with Road Closures and Alternate Routes

The capital of the country will host a sports and well-being event, the “Yoga and Run race,” on Sunday, May 4, congregating hundreds of participants in the western sector of the city.
“Yoga and Run” Route
The 10-kilometer route begins at the event square of the Simón Bolívar Metropolitan Park (PMSB) through Puerta 5, then follows Av. Calle 53 (North Calzada) to the west, returns to the 66c race, and continues through Av. Carrera 60 using the pedestrian path of the western side to the north.
The route includes 57A Street to the East, Av. Carrera 60 (Eastern Calzada) to the North, a return to Av. Calle 63, and finally, participants will enter the PMSB again through door 11, where the competition will culminate.

Road Closures and Alternate Routes
The District Mobility Secretariat announced road closures from 8:00 am to 10:00 am to ensure the safe development of the athletics and yoga activities.
- Western road of Av. Carrera 60, between Av. Calle 63 and Av. Calle 53: Total closure from 8:00 am to 10:00 am
- Eastern road of Av. Carrera 60, between transverse 59a and Av. Calle 63: Total closure from 8:00 am to 10:00 am
- North Calzada de Av. Calle 53, between Av. Carrera 60 and Av. Carrera 68: Total closure from 8:00 am to 9:40 am
Alternate Deviations and Routes
To mitigate the impact of the closures and facilitate mobility, the Mobility Ministry arranged the following deviations:
- Circulate north-south through Av. Carrera 60: Av. Calle 63 to the West and then Av. Carrera 68 to the south.
- Transit in the East-Occident sense by Av. Calle 63: Continue on Av. Calle 63 to the West and then by Av. Carrera 68 to the south.
- Circulate on Av. Calle 53 in the East-Occident sense: Take Av. Carrera 60 to the north, the transverse 59a to the north, Av. Calle 63 to the East and return to the west in the roundabout of Av. Carrera 50.
- Transit on Av. Calle 26 and seek access to Av. Carrera 60 to the north: Continue on Av. Calle 26 to the West and then take Av. Carrera 68 to the north.

Citizens’ Recommendations and Event Impact
The Mobility Ministry recommends attendees and general citizens to:
- Use public transport (SITP or Transmilenio) to get to the event.
- Plan trips and activities in advance.
- Follow indications of traffic personnel and event organizers.
- Opt for non-motorized means of transport, such as bicycle or walk.
The realization of sporting events like the “Yoga and Run race” encourages the use of mobility alternatives, appropriation of public space, and sustainable mobility in Bogotá.
