The Dallas Mavericks will again be without Dereck Lively for their game against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday night. The center is struggling with an ankle injury.

Lively is missing from Dallas for the second time in a row. The 20-year-old, who sustained the injury in the 99:118 win against the Denver Nuggets, was not available for coach Jason Kidd’s team in the 116:119 loss at the New Orleans Pelicans on Thursday. However, it should be possible to play in the game against the Charlotte Hornets on Monday.

The youngster’s loss is another setback for the Texans. Against the Thunder, the best team in the West with a record of 34-6, Luka Doncic, who has a calf injury, and Dante Exum (wrist surgery) will still be missing. In addition, the use of Kyrie Irving (back problems) is in jeopardy.

In New Orleans, Lively was represented by Daniel Gafford. The 26-year-old did well with 27 points and 12 rebounds, but could not prevent the Mavs’ third defeat in a row.

With 22 wins and 19 defeats, Dallas is currently in seventh place in the Western Conference.

Lively is averaging 9.1 points and 7.8 rebounds per game this season.
