National Senior & Mid-Amateur Ladies Tour: New Leaders Emerge in Cali

Leaders Change Hands in National Senior & Mid-Amateur Ladies Tour

The second round of the National Senior and Mid-Amateur Ladies Tour saw new leaders emerge at the challenging Club Campestre de Cali course on Thursday. The day was dominated by impressive performances that have set the stage for a thrilling final round.

Third Round Showdown Looms in Senior Category

María Mercedes Rodríguez (Farallones) signed the best card of the day, with 72 strokes, one over par, and displaced the local favorite Silvia Margarita Garcés, although only one shot separates them heading into the final round.

Rodríguez and Garcés will be part of the final group on Friday, teeing off at 7:07 am, with each hoping to capitalize on the close competition and secure a surprise victory.

First Senior Category Tightens Up

María Mercedes Noreña (El Rodeo), meanwhile, took first place in the First Senior Category, with a round of 80 and a total of 161 impacts.

However, Noreña faces stiff competition from another local star, Olga Lucía Botero, and the leader of the first day, Carolina Escobar, who are both tied with 162 in the scores. The ‘threesome’ will tee off at 6:58 am, promising another tense battle.
