Missouri Tennis Faces DePaul, Prepares for SEC Showdown with Texas
The Missouri Women’s Tennis team is on the road Tuesday, February 24, facing DePaul in Chicago at noon CT. This matchup precedes a challenging stretch of Southeastern Conference competition back home.
Recent Performance
The Tigers recently concluded a weekend in Nashville, securing a dominant 5-0 victory over Tennessee State. However, they fell to Vanderbilt in their first SEC contest of the season, with a final score of 6-1.

Senior Andrea Artimedi stood out against Vanderbilt, earning Missouri’s sole point in a hard-fought third-set tiebreaker.
Freshman Lara Quaglia and sophomore Zoe Lazar showcased their dominance against Tennessee State, winning their doubles match 6-2 and each achieving 6-0, 6-0 victories in their respective singles matches.
Facing DePaul After 34 Years
Tuesday’s match marks the first encounter between Missouri and DePaul in 34 years, with the last meeting occurring on March 19, 1991, resulting in a 9-0 win for DePaul.
DePaul currently holds a 5-5 season record, most recently suffering a 6-1 loss to Northwestern.
Looking Ahead: SEC Competition
Following the DePaul match, the Tigers return to Missouri for a busy stretch of SEC competition. They will host No. 10 Texas on Friday, February 27, and then face a doubleheader on Sunday, March 1, against No. 5 Texas A&M and Lindenwood.
