The Olympic Flame for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games embarks on its penultimate journey across Lake Garda and its valleys on Sunday, January 18. This captivating route marries rich history, symbolism, and breathtaking landscapes.
The Day’s Itinerary
- 8:40 am: The relay begins in Desenzano del Garda, where 22 torchbearers will escort the Flame through the medieval town before heading to Garda Trentino.
- 11:20 am: Arrival in Riva del Garda, followed by a stretch to Rovereto, with an expected arrival of 1:35 pm. Sixteen torchbearers will carry the Flame through Rovereto’s culturally rich streets.
- 3:50 pm: The Flame crosses the Peschiera del Garda area, passing through the pentagonal fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, en route to the Veronese shore of the lake.
- 7:30 pm: The Flame’s final destination, Verona, where the city celebration and lighting of the brazier will take place in the iconic Piazza Bra.
