Lansdowne was unsuccessful in securing its division win due to a defeat against Patapsco on Tuesday. However, the Vikings bounced back and commemorated their senior night by dominating Owings Mills with a score of 15-1.

Ryshawn Byrd, a member of the Eagles team, made exceptional contributions in faceoff plays. He had a great chance to score but was unable to break the shutout as his shot was blocked by Simmons with 7:10 remaining in the first half.Lansdowne — 6 6 2 1 —15Owings Mills — 0 0 0 1 —1
Gordon stated that when all units collaborate and demonstrate dedication, they have the potential to defeat any opponent.

The senior co-captains, Justin Myers (three goals, four assists) and Jake Howard (five goals), had great chemistry on Friday night, leading a precise attack.

The Vikings ended the regular season with a record of 10 wins and 2 losses, their sole division defeat being against Patapsco.

In the initial period, Myers scored two goals and contributed two assists as the Vikings took a 6-0 advantage.

Due to ongoing construction on their new campus, Lansdowne’s lack of a home field did not stop them from honoring seven senior players after their game at Catonsville High.

“I have been fortunate to have this group in my first year as a coach,” Gordon said. “I assembled a talented team and we quickly formed a strong bond. I am thrilled for these individuals because I believe they will achieve great things beyond their athletic and high school careers.”
Lansdowne defeated Owings Mills, securing its 10th win of the season while Craig Clary of the Staff was present.

“Our team is comprised of skillful players and we are continuously growing and developing,” stated Gillum. “The player with the most experience has only been playing for four years. Our main focus is to improve by grasping the fundamentals and striving to progress each day we are on the field.”
The Vikings entered the halftime break with a 12-0 advantage and comfortably maintained their lead until the end with a continuously ticking clock.

Throughout the game, Owings Mills had opportunities to score, however they hit the goal posts and Lansdowne’s goalie Dylan Simmons (who made seven saves) was playing flawlessly.

Howard mentioned that the offense was active and they had a successful warmup. The offense has been improving throughout the year. In this game, everything came together and everyone was in sync and in the correct positions. It is crucial to have everyone open and taking shots.
“We are currently working on instilling a mindset of team play and prioritizing passing in our players. Unfortunately, the goalpost seemed to block us more than our opponents, as we hit it three times tonight,” stated Kyle Gillum, coach of Owings Mills. “While I would have liked to see more goals on the scoreboard, I am satisfied with our improved offensive performance in terms of passing and scoring.”

Owings Mills (1-9) finally scored thanks to Alex Noguera’s successful conversion of a pass from Charles Elendu with 2:44 remaining in the game.

According to Lansdowne coach Raul Gordon, our schedule worked in our favor, but we surprised everyone by beating Loch Raven. The favorable schedule played a part in our success.

Myers expressed satisfaction with the success of the team in the previous year and hopes that they can continue to thrive in the playoffs.
