Top Stars Set to Compete at 2026 Mexican Open in Acapulco

Acapulco is set to host some of the world’s best tennis players as the 2026 Mexican Open, an ATP 500 tournament, prepares for its 33rd edition. The tournament welcomes 25 players ranked among the best in the world, including four currently in the Top 10.

Elite Players Headline the Field

The field is led by German star Alexander Zverev (ranked 4th), Italian Lorenzo Musetti (ranked 5th), Australian Alex de Minaur (ranked 6th) and American Ben Shelton (ranked 9th).

Also competing will be Spain’s Alejandro Davidovich Fokina (ranked 14th), who reached the final of the tournament in 2025.

Pacheco vs. Cobolli: A Match to Watch

Rodrigo Pacheco, representing Mérida, Yucatán, will face Italy’s Flavio Cobolli (ranked 20th) in the first round. This will be Cobolli’s third appearance in Acapulco.

Pacheco made a splash at the 2025 Mexican Open, receiving a wildcard and advancing to the quarterfinals, where he defeated Australian Aleksandar Vukic.
