The Mexican Judo Team concluded its participation in the Pan American U-13 and U-15 Championships of the specialty, held in Varadero, Cuba, with five medals: one gold and four bronze.
The Quintana Roo native Thayli Molina was the most outstanding Mexican in the contest, after becoming the champion of the -47 kilograms, which also represented the only medal for the country in the youngest age category.
In the activities of the next division, Luis Perales (-40 kilograms), Renata Marmolejo (-44 kilograms), Ana Álvarez (-53 kilograms) and the mixed team (made up of César Moreno, Emanuel Rodríguez, David Domínguez, Carmen Bustos and Ana Álvarez) rose to third place on the podium.
This brilliant performance came only a few days after the junior representative of the specialty won seven metals in the Montreal 2024 Pan American Cup, so the Aztec judo continues to deliver blows of authority in continental competitions with an age limit.
