The Mexico City skyline witnessed an extraordinary sight on , as the iconic Angel of Independence monument became a symbol of unity and well-being. A record-breaking 4,000-plus yogis descended upon the historic site for a free, mass yoga class dubbed “Yoga for Peace.”
This class is part of our actions to bring physical activity closer to the entire population, recognizing the power of strengthening the body, reducing stress, improving mental health and, above all, generating peace both internal and external.

Promoting well-being and mental health
Led by professional instructors, the hour-long session offered a peaceful respite from the bustling city, connecting participants through synchronized breath and movement. The event was organized by the Mexico City government, aiming to encourage and promote physical activity and mental health initiatives among its inhabitants.
Exercise helps us reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as cardiac, diabetes, certain types of cancer, in addition to improving our mood, reduces stress, anxiety and promotes generating a better quality of life.
