Booker, who is 27 years old, is currently signed for the next four years and still has many high-performing, All-Star seasons ahead of him. However, Durant will be 36 when the 2024-25 season starts and Beal will be 31 next month.
Phoenix has a majority of its main players signed for the upcoming season, including their top trio of Booker, Kevin Durant, and Bradley Beal.
The BS Meter suggests there is no nonsense here. It’s essential for Phoenix to expand their team to support players such as Booker, Durant, and Beal.
According to Bobby Marks of ESPN, the trio is set to make a total of 0.7 million in the upcoming year. Marks refers to Beal’s contract of three years and 0.9 million as the “worst contract ever” in NBA history.
It is probable that Phoenix will not be able to make any trades involving Beal and should not consider trading Booker or Durant either. This is because last year, they gave away four first-round draft picks, along with players Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, and Jae Crowder, to acquire Beal, who has been with the team for just 15 months now.
