This victory took place in Las Vegas, in the United States, where the member of the Bellevue judo club shone in the -78 kg category.

This victory was difficult to achieve. I won my first fight, lost the second and it all came down to the last fight. After all the work and sacrifices, it was out of the question for me to return without the gold medal. I gave everything and managed to beat the American to become world champion.
Injured in the shoulder during this decisive fight, Marie-Claude Ivaldi highlights the victory and the work accomplished.
I feel good, I’m proud. I am grateful to my students for all the work they have done. It is by working with them and correcting them that I can progress myself. It’s the club, the children and the parents who give me the strength to move forward.
