Pôle XXI, both an association, a third place for popular freedom, and a place for experimentation, is also a place where we have a commitment to ecology every day.
What is Chapter XXI ?
Created in 2016, this third place was born from the meeting of the managers of “Bul’ de Mômes” and “Terra Vitae” with almost a hundred members. At first, there was a popular educational project, now, it is more about offering a space where to do activities while respecting Nature, the environment and inside the building built on the site of member of the association, explained Benoît Houivet, volunteer and member of the Board of Directors.
Among these activities: eco-construction, planting edible hedges and trees, yoga, writing workshops, board games. on Chapter XXIwe are aware of the ecological, economic and social issues and it is also a question of finding responsible alternatives to the operational methods that destroy Nature and to transmit it by creating a real dynamic of the territory .
Activities related to environmental issues
Several projects have been started on the site and allow different eco-construction techniques to be tested, such as the building built on earth / straw, ALGECO in poor condition is fully insulated and will be a functional and good kitchen maintenance. It allows during the eco-construction activities that also take place during the “Wednesday of learning” for young people, to make adventures. The values of partnership cannot be forgotten, far from this association.
