Luis Domínguez, just 14 years old, has completed a satisfactory season with this bronze medal at the national level.
The young Nazarene Luis Domínguez has won the bronze medal in the Spanish Badminton Championship.
After less than three years practicing this sport, the Nazarene player who plays for CB Rinconada, Luis Domínguez, just turned 14, has completed a satisfactory season by winning the bronze medal in Men’s Doubles at the Spanish U15 Championship held in Murcia. along with his teammate Víctor Béjar from CB Benalmádena.
After a year of learning and constant work Luis Domínguez has obtained achievements such as gold in the Leganés Master in Men’s Doubles, bronze and silver in men’s singles and doubles respectively in the Andalusian U15 Championship as a member of the Andalusian National Team, in the Championships of Spain by Regional Teams and now the aforementioned bronze in the Spanish Under 15 Championships, in addition to several TTR Regional Tournaments, in Madrid and Andalusia.
This young man from Nazarene dedicates a lot of effort and determination to badminton, which has become one of his passions. He dedicates three hours, three or four days a week, between transfers and training in La Rinconada.
His hobbies include going out with his friends and traveling with his family.
Category change
He is currently studying 3rd year of ESO at the IES Jesús del Gran Poder with good academic results. Among their long-term objectives is to study Science and continue working and learning from the best in their sport to face the difficult category changes that are coming, since, starting in January, the under-17 category will be launched, starting from practically zero as it does not have a ranking and is one of the smallest in the category.
To do this, he trains at the Rinconada Club with veterans who were internationals such as Marta Molina or Rafael F. Arteaga who advise him daily, under the orders of veteran coach Antonio Molina Ortega.
His goal is to follow in the footsteps of other great Nazarene players from the Rinconero club such as Emilio and María Ojeda, Paula Cáceres or Alejandro Ramírez, with whom he started in this sport in 2022 at Club Amigó de Dos Hermanas with coach Marcos Varela.
