LSU Bats Blazing in Series Finale, Eyeanson and Shores Seal Victory

OMaha, Neb. – The LSU Tigers have been crowned the 2025 College World Series champions, defeating Coastal Carolina 5-3 in Game 2 of the finals. With this victory, LSU maintains their undefeated streak in Omaha and adds an eighth national title to their illustrious program.

LSU’s journey to the title was marked by resilience and exceptional batter performance. When Coastal Carolina’s head coach, Kevin Schnall, was ejected in a controversial first-inning argument, the Tigers used the distraction to their advantage.

The game’s emotional whirlwind didn’t deter LSU. Daniel Dickinson sparked a futile LSU offense with a single, followed by Michael Braswell’s sacrifice bunt. Ethan Frey then drove an RBI double past the center fielder, evening the score at 1-1.
