Model Kaia Gerber (23) and US actor Austin Butler (33, “Elvis”) are said to have separated after more than three years of dating. A source confirmed to People magazine that the couple had broken up.
As “TMZ” first reported, the two have been going their separate ways since the end of 2024. A clear indication of this: The “Elvis” actor was no longer there on the Gerbers’ recent family vacation in Mexico. The spokespersons for the two stars have not yet responded to media inquiries.
Private relationship
Gerber and Butler’s romance rumors first emerged in December 2021 when the two were spotted together at a yoga session in Los Angeles. They made their red carpet debut as a couple three months later at W Magazine’s “Best Performances” party in March 2022. Numerous appearances together followed, including at the 2022 Met Gala and during the 2022/2023 awards season, as Butler was nominated for various awards for the main role in the biopic about US superstar Elvis Presley (1935-1977).
Kaia Gerber, the daughter of supermodel Cindy Crawford (58) and entrepreneur Rande Gerber (62), only commented on their relationship in an interview with “WSJ. Magazine” in February 2024: “Honestly, it feels like “So few things in my life would be private, and that’s one of the things I try to keep as sacred as possible.”

Before her relationship with Butler, Gerber was in a relationship with Australian “Euphoria” star Jacob Elordi (27). Butler, who was named one of the “100 Most Influential People of 2023” by “Time” magazine at the end of April 2024, was with actress Vanessa Hudgens (36) for eight years before Gerber. The couple separated in January 2020.
