For the ninth consecutive year, on the occasion of the celebrations in honor of the patron saint San Sebastiano, the local police of Modica renewed the commitment made with Avis already at the end of 2015 through the promotional campaign “With all our strength we say yes to the gift of blood.”
For the second year there was also the welcome participation of colleagues from Scicli, in the sign of solidarity and excellent relations between the two Commands.
This morning, agents and auxiliaries were guests of the Transfusion Center at the Maggiore Hospital, welcomed by all the staff, for an extraordinary blood donation, in an atmosphere of great and complete serenity.
“As long as we can – says Commander Rosario Cannizzaro – we will give our contribution through the special donation of blood which, I remember, is done in complete freedom, with the awareness of its importance. I would like to thank my colleague from Scicli, Maria Rosa Portelli, for having shared the idea since last year and, through her, her agents. Thanks also to my colleagues who made themselves available, and the Avis staff for the welcome they gave us.”
