Breaking: Barça Board Eyes M League Return via Mazatlán FC Purchase

The board of FC Barcelona is reportedly in talks to return to the M League by purchasing Mazatlán FC, according to several sources cited by ESPN.

“The group led by Emilio Escalante wants to return the Azulgrana to the top circuit,” said an insider.

Mazatlán FC directors have approached the Sinaloa government regarding a potential sale to Atlas FC.
If successful, the move would need approval at an official Liga MX owners’ assembly.
