Key Updates for the Latest Yoga 9i

Lenovo has updated the Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition, incorporating the Intel Panther Lake platform and bringing the premium convertible to its eleventh generation. The updates focus on efficiency, design, and internal optimization, aiming to improve the balance between mobility and performance.

Design and Keyboard Enhancements

The new model retains recognizable elements such as shiny sides and a screen cover more compact than keyboard base, maintaining the design philosophy characteristic of the Yoga series. Lenovo as well recovers the side power button for easier use in tablet or convertible mode. A key change is the keyboard layout, with the elimination of the function row on the right side, replaced by a conventional design.

Display and Performance Specs

The Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition features a 14-inch OLED display with a 2.8K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate with VRR, and a maximum brightness of 1,100 nits – identical to the previous generation. The device is equipped with up to 32 GB of LPDDR5x-7467 memory and SSD storage up to 2 TB.

Portability and Battery Adjustments

One notable change is a reduction in battery capacity, from 75 Wh to 70 Wh. This adjustment contributes to improved portability, reducing the weight from 1.32 kg to 1.29 kg and the thickness from 15.9 mm to 15.29 mm. The chassis dimensions have slightly increased to 317 x 223 mm.

Audio, Processor, and Availability

Lenovo equips the device with four built-in speakers. Currently, the model is announced with the Intel Core Ultra 7 355 processor. The Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition Gen 11 will be available in Africa, Europe, and the Middle East later this month with a starting price of €1,799 (~$2,115).
