Blainville, Quebec – The Laurentians region is poised to showcase its athletic talent at the 60th Final of the Quebec Games, set to start this weekend. A delegation of 169 athletes, accompanied by 49 coaches and chaperones, and 16 missionaries, will proudly represent the region in the multi-sport event.
A Region United Through Sport
The Laurentides delegation represents a broad geographical area, bringing together athletes, guides, and missionaries from 39 municipalities. The official unveiling of the team took place at the Centre Guy-Frigon, serving as a rallying point before the Games commence.
Rigorous Qualification Process
Earning a spot on the Laurentians team was no easy feat. Athletes competed in 19 qualifying stages – tournaments, selection camps, and regional finals – with a total of 682 athletes vying for a place on the team.
