“Lando Norris has set the pace during the opening practice session at the Dutch Grand Prix, the McLaren racer going fastest from team mate Oscar Piastri and Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll.” Norris’ best effort of 1m 10.278s put him four-tenths clear of his teammate, who held onto second place.

The opening practice session was far from uneventful, with Hamilton’s spin being followed by off-track excursions for Yuki Tsunoda and Kimi Antonelli, which resulted in the red flags being thrown.

Norris’ Time Remains Unbeaten

As the session drew to a close, drivers turned their attention to long runs on the medium-shod tires. Despite their best efforts, none could topple Norris’ earlier time, securing him the top spot in the opening practice session of the Dutch Grand Prix.

Drama for Home Hero Verstappen

The Dutch hero, Max Verstappen, found himself beached in the gravel after a practice start at Turn 1 following the checkered flag. The incident left him in 7th place despite setting the early pace in the session.
