Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 30, 2025, as it is the sacred day of Lalita Saptami. Observed during the Bhadrapada Shukla Saptami Tithi, this holy festival is celebrating the birth anniversary of Lalita Devi, the beloved friend of Radharani.

“According to the almanac, Saptami Tithi will last until 10:46 pm on this day, after which Ashtami will begin,” explains the Lalita Saptami Muhurta.

• Abhijeet Muhurta: 11:56 AM – 12:47 PM
• Rahukaal: 9:10 AM – 10:46 AM

This year, Lalita Saptami is blessed with the presence of Tripushkar Yoga, which will be active from 5:58 AM to 2:37 PM. Worshipping Lalita Devi on this day is believed to grant three times the usual benefits, amplifying happiness and prosperity.

Additionally, Indra Yoga will be influencing the first half of the day, with Visakha Nakshatra active in the morning and Anuradha Nakshatra following from 2:37 PM onwards.

Who is Lalita Devi?

A celebrated icon in Mathura, Vrindavan, and the Braj region, Lalita Devi was one of Radha and Krishna’s Rasleela companions. She was a crucial figure in their Love stories and a member of the Ashtasakhi group.

Lalita Saptami Puja Vidhi

To observe Lalita Saptami:

• Wake up at Brahma Muhurta and clean the worship area.
• Place a red cloth on a pedestal and install Radha-Krishna and Lalita Devi idols or pictures.
• Offer red attire, flowers, makeup materials, and sweets to Goddess Lalita.
• Chant the Aarti of Goddess Lalita three times, followed by the mantra “Om Hri Lalitayai Namah.”
• Bow to Aarti, the pedestal, and receive prasad.
